He looked at his two children as the rode the train home. It had been a good day, but now he was exhausted. He looked forward to a dinner in front of the TV.
As a child, dinner had been much more formal. Everyone seated around the table. No TV. Only conversations about everyone’s day.
Sometimes he would ask the kids about their days at school. But frankly he was more interested in the TV program.
He didn’t always enjoy visiting the old man, but today he had been lucid. He remembered his grandchildren and sang some of the Polish folk songs for them.
