She was eating chocolate at the exact moment that he was shot. It was a special occasion – here sister had thrown a party and all of her friends had come. Later that afternoon, she would think about him and remember how he kidded her about her “sweet tooth”.

She was told that he never knew what hit him, but this did not make her feel better.

She later married a man from the north and they had four children. He did not eat chocolate. He forbade its being in their home.
