War is to Peace like Chaos is to Order

Order is brought to chaos when the elements work together, when they coexist harmoniously, and when dissension is not detrimental. Exerting control over the elements attains this state. Simultaneously, Peace comes about under parallel conditions: i.e., when the elements work together, coexist harmoniously, and when dissension is managed.

These conditions are attained through control. Most of us will agree that we want Peace. Most of us will also agree that we want Freedom, but Freedom leads to dissension and anarchy – it leads to chaos. Control produces peace, but it does so at the cost of freedom.

We want Peace and we want Freedom, but we can’t have them at the same time. As a species we want both. As a result we vacillate between between them.
