The Joy of Drawing

When drawing referentially, one must look closely... very closely. One must not simply "see" but understand what is being seen. Moreover, one must visualize what is not seen. Often, when going deep into detail, logic falls apart – interpretiation and invention are called for.

The joy of drawing is in the discovering of what was not already understood.
