Embracing Neighbors

Neighboring countries, Turkey and Bulgaria, have overlapping histories that have not always been mutually beneficial. In 2006, I had the good fortune to be able to travel through parts of each country. I enjoyed them immensely, and I was struck by both, their similarities and their differences.
